Eddie Broussard met the Navigators at Texas A & M, where he recommitted his life to following Christ and received valuable training in Christian discipleship and leadership. After graduation, Eddie taught high school chemistry and then joined Navigator staff at the University of Illinois. Eddie’s varied ministry experience includes leading Navigator ministries at Tuskegee Institute and Memphis State, serving as Pastor of Discipleship in two churches and co-founding a Spanish-speaking church in Chicago. After completing a Master’s degree at Trinity Evangelical Divinity School, Eddie further developed his interest in intercultural ministry as he directed in-country training for the CoMission movement in the former Soviet Union (1993-1997). It was during his time in Russia that he met his wife Barbie. His strong relational skills, creativity and preaching ability have made Eddie a sought-after teacher, leader and speaker.

In recent years, Eddie has served with the Navigators as the Vice President of Diversity, where he led the growth of ethnic diversity in the US Navigators, and provided leadership for the four US Ethnic Ministries: African American, Asian American, Hispanic and Native American. He is currently serving as the Navigator’s Senior Vice President and Associate U.S. Director. Eddie’s Creole African American heritage and varied ministry experience bring sensitivity and perspective to his role.

Eddie and his wife Barbie live in Colorado Springs. An avid language enthusiast, he speaks Spanish and enjoys his growing facility in Russian and German.
